Perfect originally crafted sandwiches at Rail side cafe, San Dimas, CA

Bumming around with my daughter, which is always a favorite thing for me to do, of course we get hungry
for lunch and want to try something new and different. I remember this area in San Dimas, CA that is newer construction and that there are some shops and a cafe or restaurant of some sort that I had wanted to check out and this seemed the perfect opportunity, so we head over there.
The place is called Rail side cafe, which I assume on account that it is near the railroad tracks. Sits on the corner and has some outside seating, which is always a favorite of mine to be able to eat outside. We find parking rather easily and notice that there are business suites in the front and looks like apartment or townhomes in the back. Very cute.
A few people are there eating and enjoying there afternoon, apparently the place is getting noticed by locals.
As we walk in the decor is very simple and adorable and staff friendly. Menu displayed on the wall for easy viewing and made up of paninis, sandwiches and melts, soup of the day, a salad and an array of morning treats, coffees and smoothies.
I order myself the G.O.A.T sandwich, which is made up of goat cheese, cucumber, tomatoes and fresh basil. $6.99
My daughter orders the Panini Caprese. Mozzarella, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes, fresh basil, pesto and olive spread, along with there green tea latte. $6.79 and $3.99 for small
We were told to go ahead and have a seat and someone would bring us our food, so we grab a table outside, which all are accompanied by red umbrellas for some shade. I notice all the people are enjoying there day, looks like a meet up group of some sort is wrapping up there lunch. Our sandwiches are brought to us pretty quick, which was great.
My G.O.A.T sandwich was exactly what I had hoped for, light, tasty with crispy cucumber and of course fresh basil. I love anything basil. My daughters states she loves here panini caprese and we both ask to try each others sandwiches. I do have to agree that hers was by far the better sandwich. A lot more flavor as it should be with the pesto and olive spread. I even try her green tea latte, which I am really not a huge fan of the green tea taste, but it was ok for me, daughter loved it.
So all and all this was a great find and highly recommend stopping by if you can. I am sure there morning treats are to die for.
