Wow what an incredible time we had last night at the Hollywood Bowl seeing David Gray and Amos Lee. Even better, we decided to stay over night at a local hotel so we didn’t have to drive home and better yet gave us a chance to go to Grand Central Market for some produce shopping and breakfast.

If you have never enjoyed going to this fabulous place, you have got to go. I know many many people, that live in and around LA and have never ventured to any of these local spots but it is worth the trip and come hungry as there are plenty of places to choose from to eat. Our luck was with us as we walk in because there were two seats available at Belcampo bar, so we quickly grab them before anyone else can. Belcampo is a place at the market to buy organic meat that comes from there own farm and you can try out some of there meat, if you want, by choosing something from there menu and there cooks will prepare it there. They also serve some draft beer, wine and this morning mimosa or bloody marys. We choose the bloody marys, and forgot to say easy on the spice. They were pretty spicy, but even our drinks came with a slice of salami, a first for me. Yummy!

Well that woke us up lol. A favorite of mine is the Broccolini, spicy and lime or maybe its lemon, fried quickly to put a crunch to the delicate ends and a delight to the mouth and even though it is still officially breakfast was pleased to see that it was on the menu board, so I order up that and we both agree that pulled pork benedict sounded amazing.

Now sitting next to us at the counter, and I would say there are maybe 10 seats? I didn’t count, but these two young ladies were enjoying quite an array of items on the menu, including waffles and chicken, lemon curd donut and I believe beef, hash and eggs and some other dish. I am not sure where they were putting it all but they were enjoying and everything looked delicious, but I was staying away from the donuts for sure.
The food came pretty quick and I do have to say, was quite mouth watering. I am not usually a fan of pulled pork but everything went very well together and honestly we could of split one order between us. Especially since we had the broccolini as well.

So our bill with tip came in about $64
a bit pricey for breakfast, yes, I agree, although very much worth the trip and as always amazingly delicious. Now it is time for us to walk this off. Holy cow I am full. Are you hungry yet? I am stuffed.
