Alrighty then, It’s my birthday, or actually the day after and my daughter wants to have lunch with her Mom. I love it and know exactly where we should go- The village, downtown Glendora, CA. A place called T. Phillips Alehouse and Grill and the reason being of course because there is outside dining and we have never tried it before. So we head out on this beautiful, sunny, summer afternoon finding parking just across the street. As we walk in I notice the patio is pretty full and there are peanut shells on the floor. Oh, just like Northwoods Inn, I tell her. Of course she has no idea what I am talking about so had to explain. No one was at the front, so we walked in and found a waiter and asked if we could sit in the patio, luckily there was a spot left. Noticing the decor, I really liked it. Pubish, with lots of old pictures on the wall and a moose head, showing a fun side to the joint and apparently they have live entertainment at times as well.

We were brought a bowl of peanuts and ordered up some on the rocks margaritas. Watching the staff, it seemed that they were all family. Not sure if that was true or maybe they were a little short staffed that day and everyone had to pitch in, but was kind of nice to see. I excuse myself to find the restroom and do have to say that it is very cute, always a plus when you are entertained some with what is on the walls and definitely a plus when some detail is paid to having a decent bathroom in a restaurant, shows they go beyond the basics and says a lot of a place.
We order up and since I always like to check other places fish tacos that is what I order. These are Cajun Tacos and you have your choice of blackened shrimp or mahi-mahi. I choose the mahi-mahi $14.95. My daughter orders the Chicken & basil pesto pannini $10.95. We enjoy our conversation and the beautiful weather and our yummy margaritas. Service seemed a little slow, so not sure if you were in a hurry to get back to work this would be the place, however I am sure if you let them know they would try there best.

Our food finally came and there was quite a lot for lunch. I had 3 tacos, beans and rice, my mouth watered as I take my first bite. Wow, pretty spicy for sure. The pannini my daughter ordered looks really good as well, she ordered it with a side of fruit. We enjoy our meal, taking half home for later. All in all a very nice place, I will have to come again and give it another try. For more information and there full menu, check out the website below.
