New York pizza in Las Vegas, NV

The place has a basic decor nothing to write much about, but there were quite a few customers already having lunch, mostly men, some actually from New York originally from the tell of there New York accents. We sit down and our waitress comes over asking for our drink order, which we both decide on a peroni beer. Vegas heat and a ice cold beer just go so well together. I ask her what she recommends as far as pizza and she was surprised we had never been in and states Oh my they are all soooo good. So we decide on a large house special, thin crust. Looked by the picture to have the works and figured couldn’t go wrong, right? We also ordered a greek salad to share, as our waitress said they were pretty big. Our beers came and we sat enjoying the cold refreshment and talking about New York and what to expect from this experience. The salad came and we divided it up and dug in, both agreeing it was a really great salad and loving the dressing.

Finishing it up along with our beers, they went down just too easily, we ordered two more as our pizza came.
My first impression was glad we ordered the thin crust, as to me I wouldn’t want it any thicker. We enjoyed a slice, which are pretty hefty slices and realize that was just enough, that we would be boxing up the

rest to take with us. I ask my friend his thoughts, if it was really a New York style pizza. He didn’t seem all that impressed and as for me, I thought it was a good pizza but not worth driving across town for. If I lived on that side or town or happened to be in that area again, I would stop in again though. My friend decides even though he is full to order a cannoli, stating would be wrong not to try one. The baked good did not disappoint.

So if you happen to be in the neighborhood, stop in and try this small place and let me know your thoughts if you are familiar with New York pizza how it compares. Later that day another friend of ours told us of the secret pizza place inside the Metropolitan, stating that was the closest she had been able to find in town to the real deal. We decide to save that for another day.
